I had gone to a few WaterFires over a couple of years. I missed being on the water from a previous job and I realized the Wood Boat folks were volunteers, I thought it would be fun. After a years of feeding fires, I was put on Prometheus with Christine M. as the Captain. I was asked if I wanted to try "going up."

I was hooked, I found my place on the boat. I enjoy going on the wall or the boat gunnel to feed the fires. The challenge of balancing, working in tandem feeding fires and having Christine as my Captain encouraging all of the crew was fantastic. Over the past 6 years I have made friends, had many laughs, met incredible people, and cannot wait wait til the end of the season for s'mores.
