I was looking for a Volunteer Opportunity that would show off this beautiful city of Providence. People who know of WaterFire, know it's like a Hollywood production, and they're intrigued by all of the inner workings of the events. Whenever we're parked under a bridge on the wood boats, we're often bombarded by people of all ages with questions. I'm not just a First Mate, I'm an Ambassador, and that's pretty cool. The WaterFire Team feels like a family. What other Volunteer Opportunity has you hugging your colleagues when you start your shift?

I volunteer because I want to give back in some way, and if it puts a smile on someone's face, we've both benefited.
